Review
Somehow I like this even better than the first one. I LOVE, LOVE the visit to the dragons' kingdom in the first part of the book; it was so magical, and we get to see more of Seryu, which I appreciated. I also feel like the plot in this one was more epic compared to the first one. There were some moments in the first book that I found to be slow, but that didn't happen in this book. The world expanded more in here, and it was so cool meeting the different magical creatures and the magical land.
As always, the banter and bond between Shiori and her brothers are fun to read, and it was very nice to see a fantasy book where at least one parent is alive and actually love their children.
There is one goodbye in this book that I was very sad about, and I wish we could see more of them in the second half of the book. The romance escalates in this one, and I found it to be very cute and heartwarming. I am quite mixed on the ending, but I did think it ties the story together well enough. Overall, I think more people need to read this whimsical, magical duology.
