Kaz Brekker and his crew of deadly individuals have just pulled off a quest so dangerous even they didn't think they'd survive. But instead of divvying up a generous reward, they're right back to fighting for their lives.
The crew is severely weakened, bereft of allies, resources, and hope after being betrayed. Old opponents and new adversaries surface to test Kaz's guile and the team's brittle allegiances as strong forces from all over the world converge on Ketterdam to uncover the mysteries of the deadly narcotic known as jurda parem. The fate of the Grisha universe will be determined by a battle for vengeance and atonement that will be fought on the city's shadowy and winding streets.
SPOILS ALERT!
General Opinion
This is the second book of the duology of Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom, and I couldn't believe it when I said I enjoyed this book even more than the previous book. I would give this 10 stars if I could! Everything is perfect, from the character's development and the dynamic to the plot. It tied up such a good finale for this duology!
Characters
I think Kaz has the best character development in this book. From a cold-blooded person who only saw his team as an investment to a man who shows some compassion towards his close teammates, yet still has a hard mind. In Six of Crows, Kaz had asked Inej to climb the incinerator shaft without any safety measures, but in the Crooked Kingdom, where Kaz asked Inej to climb another dangerous place again, he placed a net beneath. This shows how scared he was at losing Inej, and how much he loved and cared for her.

I was also deeply moved when Kaz bought a ship for Inej at the end of the book while also reuniting her with her family. I saw reviews where people said Inej deserved better than Kaz, but I disagree. Kaz was willing to change and become a better man for her, and they trust each other so much that it's hard to imagine them not being together in the future.

Another character that stood out was Matthias, who was shot dead by a young drüskelle, his death shocked me, as I thought that the 6 of them were going to make it out alive. Yet even in his dying breath, he still feels that there is good in that young druskelle, and asks Nina to help the other druskelle as his dying wish.

Nina struggle was highlighted, seeing her fighting against her withdrawl with Parem and develop a new power was fascinating. Furthermore, her relationship with Matthias and how he help her through her struggle was sweet, and it just makes Matthias dead even more tragic.
Wylan also had a great development in this book, as more of his father's evil act was revealed and from the love of Jesper and others, Wylan stopped being ashamed of his inability to write and read. Not only that, he becomes a bit more sassy in this book, probably from hanging out too much with the Crows. This was my favorite Wylan moment:
-
Kuwei turned to Jesper. “You should visit me in Ravka. We could learn to use our powers together .” “How about I push you in the canal and we see if you know how to swim?” Wylan said with a very passable imitation of Kaz’s glare.
Jesper was the soul person who helped Wylan realize that he had nothing to be ashamed of, that he had another talent that made him who he was. Jesper also drops one of the coldest lines to Van Eck: "I can read to him".
Plot
I'm not going to dive into the whole plot of the book, but I'm gonna pick my favorite. It was when Van Eck got what was coming to him, nothing ever make me feel more satisfied than seeing Van Eck being hated and haul away to jail, leaving all his asset to Wylan.

Conclusion
Crooked Kingdom was perfect and amazing in every single way, I totally get why this book was so loved by many people. It tackle the issue of trauma, discrimination and so much more. There were barely any plot holes in the book, the writing is spectacular and I would totally recommend this to anyone that fit the age rating!!!
