She must somehow, if Trinity Marrow, 18, has the ability to see and speak with ghosts and spirits despite the fact that she is losing her sight. She has been hiding for years in a compound defended by Wardens, shape-shifters that defend humanity from demons, because of her gift. The demons will eat Trinity to increase their strength if they learn the truth about her.
Trinity's world collapses as Wardens from a different clan show up with news that something is murdering both Wardens and demons. Not least because one of the strangers is the most fascinating and obnoxious person she has ever encountered. Zayne has his own secrets, but when demons break into the compound and Trinity's secret is revealed, cooperation becomes essential. She will need to trust Zayne to save her family and possibly the entire world. But when a supernatural war breaks out, all bets are off.

General Opinion:
Disclaimer: If you are the author or you love this book, please don't read this review, because I will go on a full on rant.
Characters and Plot
So, Trinity Marrow, the main character of this book, is the most insufferable and thirsty FMC ever to exist. She was introduced as this powerful person who can basically kill any demons and Wardens with ease, an amazing girlboss. Yet that doesn't explain how she always needs another person's help in a fight, even though Trinity is half angel, I swear, she would have died in chapter 3 with all the stupid stunts she pulls.

Zayne is boring, being the main love interest, you would thought that he had some depth, well um, he had none. The only characteristic that I can remember about his was that he is super hot, "his lean torso and legs pressed against mine that made me think of other things-things that didn't involve fighting, but include less clothing". Yes, that was a legit line in the book.

The worst part about this book was the Insta-love, because tell me why do I have to wast 400 pages of my life reading about Zayne and Trinity when they are already having a crush on each other from the first time. What makes it more horrible is how Trinity kept on reminding us how hot and sexy Zayne is, like, girl, I get it, can we move on? Not to mention the fact that they were doing it after only knowing each other for 1 week, guys, are we being serious here? Trinity also spends half the book whining about how she doesn't know much about Zayne, how he was hiding things from her, such as the girl that he had a crush on for 10 years. Maybe the reason why he didn't tell you was because you guys only know each other from 1 week :)) Another thing was that her best friend was being kidnapped by a demon and she was here worrying about Zayne, who she only know for one week, still having feelings for another girl.

The plot was boring, things didn't start to kick in until halfway through the book when Misha got captured, even after that, it was just endless waiting and Trinity and Zayne lusting after each other.

Misha was the saving grace of this book, and guess what, he was the villain in book 1. He was the reason why Trinity's mom was killed, and was planning to bring Trinity along with him. Misha said that he never felt important when he was with her, that it was always about her and not him. And Misha was RIGHT, like I was chanting GO KING when he said that. But then, Trinity killed him like it was nothing, because Misha was going to kill Zayne. Yes, she killed her lifelong best friend for a guy she lusted after, which proves Misha's point of how it was always about her. The fact that Trinity has the nerve to say, "Why Misha didn't understand that I'd let him kill Zayne, why didn't he realize that?". Oh, I don't know, maybe because Misha saw that you just know him for one week, and it won't be that big of a deal?

The writing was horrid, Trinity is 18 yet talks like a 12 years old, you know what, not even 12 years old talk like that. Like there are so many ways to phrase "I also had her crap family genetics."

Conclusion
So, I would not be continuing this series, even though I bought the whole trilogy (sobbing internally) I would not recommend this unless you like a lot of romance, insta love.
