After seeing a world other than Midgard, Bryce Quinlan is eager to return, even if she never anticipated doing so. Her mate, her friends, and her family are all in Midgard. She will need to use all of her cunning to get home after becoming stranded in this unfamiliar land. And when she doesn't know whom to trust, that's no small task.

Although Hunt Athalar has experienced several deep holes in his life, this one may be the most profound. After a few short months of having all he could possibly want, he finds himself back in the Asteri's dungeons, deprived of his freedom and unable to choose Bryce's fate. His hands are practically shackled until he can break free from the Asteri's leash, despite his intense desire to assist her.

General Opinion

I don't know why people didn't like this book, but I enjoyed it way more than the second one.

Characters

I saw a lot of reviews where people didn't like Bryce in this book because of how she treated Hunt, and I understand why they thought that. However, I think it's crucial to remember that they were in a situation where they could die anytime, with the stakes so high. It would make sense why Bryce and Hunt would fight so much, I admit that Bryce should have been more sensitive towards Hunt's feelings and his trauma, but she did apologize at the end. I saw some posts saying that Bryce doesn't love Hunt, which is not true, she loves and cares for him, but Bryce tends to act impulsively from time to time. Since this is not the last book in the Crescent City series, I do hope to see her growth.

Lidia the baddie you are, I love her so much, Lidia and Ruhn are on fire in this book. Somehow, Lidia remind me of Aelin, lol.

Ithan get a pov, LET'S GOOOOO! And why are they so depressing??? That one scene where he met his brother broke me, LIKE WHY??? He lowkey resemble Dorian, with the change in personality, becoming more emo :))

Plot

The plot in here is, wow! So many thing is going on, the battle is epic, and there's a crossover. A little spoiler, but there will be some satisfying deaths in this book, which could have been longer, but oh well. â€‹

Conclusion

This is a good conclusion to Hunt and Bryce story and am definetely looking forward to the next book.
