The closest thing to a prince on this side of the Atlantic is Alex Claremont-Diaz, the first son. The White House Trio, which includes his adventurous sister and the Veep's brilliant granddaughter, is a stunning example of millennial marketing for his mother, President Ellen Claremont. There are drawbacks to being an international socialite, such as when images of a conflict with his longstanding rival Prince Henry at a royal wedding get up in the tabloids and jeopardize relationships between the United States and Britain. The damage control strategy is creating a fictitious friendship between the Prince and the First Son.

Alex finds himself plunging into a covert connection with Henry as President Claremont launches her reelection campaign, potentially destroying the campaign and toppling two countries. Is the sacrifice worthwhile? How do you accomplish all of your good deeds? And above all, how will you be remembered by history?

SPOILS ALERT!

General Opinion

I LOVE this book, it made me feel all kinds of emotions. This book made me giggle, kicking my feet, but also emotional and heartfelt. There is some spice in this book, but nothing explicit, the author is more telling us that they doing it, but doesn't go into detail or anything.

Characters

Every character in this book had a place in my heart, I didn't hate a single one of them. My favorite was Alex and Henry, couldn't choose between them, obviously :)). Alex was so funny and so down bad for Henry that it made me blush, it was hilarious seeing Alex pretending to hate Henry when it was so obvious he had a crush on Henry. Moreover, it was sweet seeing how they confide with each other, sharing their inner thoughts, things that they rarely talk with anyone else, especially Henry.

June, Norah, Zara and Alex's mom are the QUEENS. They act annoyed with Alex when in truth, they love and care for him so much, significantly Zara. I also love when Norah helps Alex figure out his sexuality, as well as his mother being supportive of him. June is the big sister we all need, she is caring, attentive, and just so cool. It was sad seeing her being cut from the movie, wish they had cast her character :(. Beatrice, Henry's sister was wonderful as well, she was there for Henry through his hardest time, besides Alex, and was so protective of him when Henry's brother belittled him about his sexuality.  â€‹

Plot

The plot of the book was entertaining. It starts with Alex being at Henry's brother's wedding, them accidentally causing a mayhem and now having to pretend to be friends to make up the damage. Alex hated the idea, as he hates Henry, thinking that Henry is boring, spoiled, and obnoxious. However, after a few meetings with Henry and getting to know him more, Alex realized that, hmm, Henry is kinda cool, and they became friends.

I think you guys can guess what happened after, Henry has had a crush on Alex since the first time they met, and kissed him when they were alone together. Leaving Alex in a gay panic and confused, but Alex manages to figure out his sexuality, realizing that he likes Henry, so the two of them start dating.

After a few months of secretly dating, hooking up, the couple was suddenly exposed by an anonymous person. But together, Henry and Alex face the public, revealing that yes, they are in love, but that shouldn't affect Alex's mom's campaign of being reelected. â€‹I'm not spoiling the ending, but it was heartwarming and a happy one, so that is highly anticipated.

Conclusion

This book is a comfort reads for anyone out there, it portrays the struggle of dealing with your legacy and accepting who you are. And I just love it so much, this book really help me to be true to myself more about anything regardless. A must read romance.
